Just For Laughs

When my sister and I stumbled upon this on the internet, we spent a good 10 mins laughing our hearts out. A directly translated sign board from a foreign country. I'm not too sure which country this one is from but I know there are so many funny signs out there. I couldn't help but laugh at all the signs that read "Parking at the Backside" in India. Usually sighted in front of restaurants, these signs are actually to indicate that there's a carpark behind the restaurant. Nice way to welcome guests eh? I don't mean to be insensitive, but it really tickles my funny bones and I bet yours too. Ever experienced a funny sign anywhere in Singpore? I saw one that read "No spitting" and there was a picture of a cartoon man vomitting. hahah! loved it.

  1. Haha I think there's a website that is solely dedicated to the wrong of signs. But at least we can say it has definitely captured our attention haha ^^

  4. hahaha. ok... hmm.. i actually don't recall seeing 'funny' signs in Singapore. it would be a total image spoiler to us if theres one here. haha. not as if it wasn't spoilt in the first place; special thanks to RIS LOW..

i think signs like u mentioned usually can be found in foreign country which use English as their first or second language..

'bout the spitting sign thing; i think they purposely make it that way to give image comedy.. saying that spitting should not be over excessive till it can be mistaken as vomiting..

other than signs, notices can be funny too.
not to be mean but have you guys notice some shops own by older generation or anyone with poor English.. sometimes its obvious that they translate directly from another language.. some are just totally broken.

there's a female officer in my camp who mix up broken English and direct translation at the same time. EPIC! some of the army guys actually photo copied the notice and mass deliver to a lot of people. trust me, it got me cracking for hours.. most of her notices are as funny as the one copied. haha

well without these 'funny' signs and notices, we won't be having the laughs we'd cracked.

they some how made our day. right?

  5. HELLO DAYAYAYAYYAAYYAYAYYY

HAHAHHAHAA ive seen alot of these kind of direct translation things and it definitely reflects badly on the country because it shows that they are unable to grasp the english language well enough to use it. this would be particularly embarassing especially if tourists come to the country.

    comment mine dudeee!!
